Glue is Used on Moroccan Tiles

Some of the most intricate Moroccan tile designs are made with several smaller pieces located right in the middle of the tile. You might find these tiles with several pieces in symmetrical or art-like patterns and in a large variety of colors. These are interesting but you might want to see how these patterns are arranged to look as beautiful as they are. Glue is often used by many manufacturers in Morocco to give your tiles that special look youíve always wanted. Glue is prepared by using an organic substance that uses no harmful or artificial materials that might warp, age or discolor your tiles. Itís made to give your tiles the most organic and beautiful look that you could possibly ask for.

Glue is traditionally used in these Moroccan tiles after the pieces are arranged in a large frame. A frame has to be set up to keep all the tile pieces together and aligned properly. The glue is then added in the many spots in between each individual piece. Any excess amounts of glue will be trimmed off before they can melt. This is to keep the appearances of your tiles from being discolored in some way. The glue will take about twenty-four hours to dry off in most cases. This is a while in most cases but it has to take this time to make it easier for the glue to stay intact and to keep from warping. Itís a smart feature that can be used on your tiles.
